The American Flyer "The Comet" was produced 1935-36 originally as a five piece set with a locomotive, three cars and a non-powered locomotive at the rear of the train.  In the real train, the engineer would have walked from one engine through the train to the other engine to reverse the train at the end of the line.  This item includes just the engine and one car.  The engine operates and reverses well and the headlight works.  There is some light corrosion and paint damage, but this is in good condition for its age.  Check out the photos.
